American Steel Studios’ very own OakTown Hall, a showcase of sustainability and self-reliant innovation, is proud to announce the beginning of our artist in residency program in AX Gallery!
OakTown Hall takes pride in sustainability. Their first artist-in-residence, Rachel Hospodar, a designer for Medium Reality, creates menswear from reclaimed materials and vintage clothes.
She is helping launch the artist in residency program, bringing focus to the gallery’s overarching project while demonstrating the way communities of artists collaborate to build the frameworks they need to support their work.
The community space provides a flexible setting where the artist can explore all avenues of her work and showcase it alongside large-scale paintings, three-dimensional installations and other fine art works.
Found wood painted, etched, and collaged, with landscapes of the Bay Area blending seamlessly into walls fashioned out of salvaged materials create a beautifully unique ambiance within OakTown Hall.
Meet Rachel Hospodar during her residency!
The public is welcome to view her pieces in the AX Gallery in American Steel Studios
