Stop by and visit us at Maker Faire this year to see a just a small selection of the diversity and creativity among the artists and innovators at AmSteel!
Eric Maundu, founder of Kijani Grows, will have one of his Smart Aquaponic Gardens on display. Check out the beautiful circle of life that grows food in nearly any environment! If you’ve been wanting to build your own garden for your home or office be sure to see Eric’s presentation!
We will also display the Living Wall being built by Groundation Foundation! This vertical succulent garden is made of reclaimed materials including salvage steel and yogurt cups, and is irrigated with rainwater via a solar powered pump. It will grow to cover TWO CITY BLOCKS!
“Gilly,” by Orion Fredericks, will be making it’s debut at Maker Faire this year! This gorgeous piece is made entirely of scrap stainless steel left from other sculptures Orion has built over the years. Quite thrifty and truly beautiful!
Ryon Gesink will be also be debuting a new piece. “Oscillation 2” is fierce spinning, flaming work of art that is sure to dazzle.
Print a Maker Faire memento of your own with Sharp Teeth Press! This press is unique in that it doesn’t require any electricity or wi-fi to run, just a bit of ink and some elbow grease!
If you like cooking or simply enjoy eating tasty food, stop by to visit with the Brundo crew to learn a bit about blending Ethiopian herbs and spices, and brewing traditional Ethiopian coffee. If a quick lesson isn’t enough, you can sign up for one of their many cooking classes hosted in their culinary studio at AmSteel.
We are very happy that Chester the Horse is being let out of his stable to join us at Maker Faire! He breathes fire but loves to have visitors.
