KONO Beautification Celebration, a birthday present for Oakland’s 160th birthday

KONO will be celebrating the beautification of the KONO (Koreatown Northgate) district with 82 new street trees on Telegraph Avenue, 13 art murals on utility boxes, and 50 new street banners. We will celebrate with a tree ribbon cutting ceremony, an unveling of the new banners, an Art-Walk and Talk” to view the murals and hear the artists inspirations, and a birthday cake cutting with Mayor Quan.
